Quote #4

If you never change your mind, why have one?
                                    -Edward de Bono

If you don't take risk and make changes in your life, there is no point.

Quote #2 - Veterinarian

“I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must that we will be kind and take care of their needs... [They] are an obligation put on us, a responsibility we have no right to neglect, nor to violate by cruelty.”

This is saying that animals were put on this earth for us to take care of them, not to neglect them. It is not their fault if they are a burden, and they are our responsibility. Animals are like helpless children and babies. They really can not fend for themselves and survive on their own.

My quote #1

"If you are considering a career in psychology, you are pursuing one of the most important and basic of the human sciences."

People do not really understand what Psychology is and how important it really is. Psychology includes your mind, behavior, and our life. It answers so many of the questions we ask ourselves everyday.

Your Own World

This photo is a very symbolic way of explaining Psychology. You could say this is what goes on in our minds. The rooms are different memories, and the actions taking place are the situations we face in life. Psychology is about what goes on in our minds, (who, what, where, when, why, and how), the way we see things. Its an interest not a lot of people know about!

http://www.apa.org/careers/resources/guides/careers.pdf
This site brought me to a list of brochures that informed me of where Psychology came from and started out, what a Psychologist is, and what type of Psychologist I can be. What I want to know

There are still many questions I have about Psychology. For starters, what kind of classes will I need to take? What are some colleges with a good Psychology department? I want a college that I can go as far into the field of Psychology as I can. Another question would be how much does a Psychologist make a year? What kind of facility or environment would I work in? A hospital? An office? Maybe an institute?.  Would I make good money in Conway? My biggest concern is, What does it take to start my own Psychology "clinic"?

What I Already Know About Psychology

I already know that you can specialize in many different fields of Psychology. There is child psychology, criminal psychology, social psycology and many more specialties. I know that Psychology requires four years for an associates degree, six years for a masters degree, and eight years for a PHD. Being a Psychologist means you have to have patience and a high tolerance level along with compassion. I know all of this information because I have read my mom's psychology book from college, and i have researched the topic online when I figured out that is what I wanted to do as my career.

The Story Behind My Career Choice

When I first found out about psychology, I was watching a t.v. show called "Hoarders". Hoarders are people with a disorder that gives them a feeling of discomfort when they have to get rid of things. Sometimes these things are considered useless in our eyes or maybe even trash, but to them these things can be considered treasures or valuables. They tend to collect more and more stuff, until it becomes an overwhelming obsession. These people get help from licensed psychologists and a cleaning crew to help haul off the trash in their homes. The psychologists work with these people to help them detach from all the stuff and to keep a healthy home and lifestyle. These psychologist do not always work with hoarders. There are many other people and psychological disorders that they work with and specialize in such as, drug addiction, O.C.D., trauma, and so on. The thing I love about psychology is that i will able to help these people get better and live a better life. Whether it be hoarders, drug addicts, or even children, I want to help them all.
